In the past 90 days I’ve purchased THREE M3 MBAs with 16gb / 512gb SSD for my business. (3 new employees.) It does not bother me - you need it when you need it. Fortunately I bought two of them refurbed directly from Apple so the price was discounted enough to cover the RAM upgrade.
