I fit into that description. For many years I used various Nespresso systems and faithfully recycled using the provided bags and free shipping. They claim to recycle the all aluminum pods into new pods and even sell pens and mechanical pencils made from the recycled aluminum - even pencil leads with some of the coffee grounds. So, better than K Cups but still not perfect.

I’m currently using the Bialetti Moka pot and a burr grinder. No filters or waste other than the grounds. The whole ritual takes about 10 minutes including cleaning the Moka so it is ready for the next day.
